It was with great disappointment, that the Board felt it necessary to cancel the re-opening of the Crystalaire pool, which was scheduled for Saturday, June 20th. Board members have spent countless hours reviewing County, State, and CDC guidelines to safely re-open pools during COVID-19. The Board understands how important the pools are to many owners and residents.
The Board received new information on 6/18/20 regarding the Association liability insurance coverage (including the liability of Board members who can be specifically named in lawsuits) for the pool area regarding COVID-19. The Association insurance policy for the Association and Board members specifically excludes claims for COVID-19 or any other virus.
The re-opening plan for the pool and maintenance procedures, must be re-evaluated. The Board is consulting with Association Legal Counsel, insurance professionals, and other industry professionals to address this liability issue as soon as possible.
When more information on re-opening is available, it will be sent out via e-blast, be posted on the Association website, and posted on the Community Bulletin Board.
